Brilliant performance from Ward. As well as the mental strength, one thing that stuck out was how much his forehand has come on in the last year or so - looked rock solid even under pressure, when before you were always worried that it always had a few errors in it...he must have been working pretty hard on the technique. The backhand's pretty much always been there.

Late to the party, but joining the utterly thrilled for James Ward camp. Brilliant.

Was great to meet philwrig yesterday who I must say was wearing the naughtiest attire I've ever seen, Union Jack waistcoat and trousers.

Did he wear the "Screaming-Lord-Such" hat - that's what we all want to know. smile

 Indeed he did!!

Another belated well done to both James and Andy for their performances yesterday. With Ward's performances in DC it is going to be very difficult for the likes of Kyle and Liam to shift him from that 2nd singles spot in the team.

Yes, you can do this. Would be a good idea. To be honest, he might even give Dom Inglot a game too. smile

Sure it's been said somewhere, but wasn't ti wonderful that it was on mainstream TV? And that all the peopl who were miffed at not getting their regular programmes at least saw our guy WIN? AND it wasn't Andy ?

So after yesterday's fun, what are people after today? Would be great to take the tie 3-0 but I think that Isner would be easy pickings for Murray and he could retake that 4th spot for Indian Wells.

I'm with Madeleine - a lot of work to do so would appreciate it, lads, if you win the doubles today and free up my Sunday smile

Yes, 40 points, less his current lowest optional of 12, so a net gain of 28 points.

As CD said below, you can do this, but I think Kyle would be ahead of Liam in the pecking order. he hasn't played a DC match (even a dead rubber) either.
