Well, I suppose if anybody needed a kind draw given the number of points that they need to make up, it was Messrs Fleming and Hutchins ... but did all the other ones really need to be that rough? Ah well ....
I see Evo would've drawn another qualifier, Bedene in the first round, with the winner to play Pospisil. Another opportunity by the wayside unfortunately
Spectator has noted in another thread (AM - Battle for Top Three) that Del Potro is out of Miami. Does this mean that there is a LL spot with direct entry into R2 and if so, what are the chances of Evo getting that spot ? If this is the case, there is a very enticing match against either Delbonis or (WC) Harrison for the lucky person.

No chance. Evo is 7th in line:
1) Becker - will be in for del Po 2) Lajovic 3) Kamke 4) Estrella 5) Struff 6) Donskoy 7) Evans (etc)
His only realistic chance is to wait around for a seed with a R1 bye to pull out very late and hope that some of the players above him have left by then. My guess, though, is that he will be one of the first to leave.

Actually of the LLs, I wish they could put in Mr Estrella. Having been alerted to him by Salmon, I'm rather in awe of his recent accomplishments. And just as Mr del Potro always gets huge support from the Latin American contingent in Miami, I suspect there would be a lot of interest in Mr Estrella, too.
