A second chance for Katie Boulter and Freya Christie to win a G1 title, but in a stronger field headed by Shilin Xu (WTA 553/JWR 9 ), who beat Jo Konta earlier in the season. It's a 48 draw, which helps our boys avoid seeds unlike last week.
Lewis and Rhett took full advantage of their draws. Katie and Freya face tricky round 2s - in Katie's case against a player she beat 6-4 in the third set last week, whilst Freya's opponent pushed Sirotkina (WTA 165) in the Australian Open qualifying
Boys R1 (L64)
Lewis Roskilly (GBR) d. Andrew Li Hei Yin (HKG) 6-1 6-4
Rhett Purcell (GBR) d. (Q) Siu Chuen Lam (HKG) 6-1 6-4
R2
(10) Chan-Yeong Oh (KOR) v Lewis Roskilly (GBR)
(13) Djurabeck Karimov (UZB) v Rhett Purcell (GBR)
Girls R2
Maddison Inglis (AUS) v (14) Freya Christie (GBR)
Morgane Michiels (BEL) v (3) Katie Boulter (GBR)
Both Freya and Katie came through their challenges to face Chinese opposition in round 3. Freya lost 7-5 in the third to her opponent in Australia earlier in the year. Last week's winner Simone Heinova retired from her singles, and also gave a walkover to Katie & Freya in the doubles.
R2
(10) Chan-Yeong Oh (KOR) d. Lewis Roskilly (GBR) 6-4 4-6 7-5
(13) Djurabeck Karimov (UZB) d. Rhett Purcell (GBR) 6-2 4-6 6-3
Katie won, but Freya lost - However Katie got to the final last year and the grade 1 next week. So needs to match or improve otherwise her ranking will drop back.
Katie's next opponent has had a strong week here losing no more than 5 games in any match, handing out breadsticks to the seeded Sara Tomic. The doubles final is a repeat of last week - let's hope for a different result
QF
(3) Katie Boulter (GBR) d. Vendula Zovincova (CZE) 7-5 6-3
SF
(3) Katie Boulter (GBR) v Tami Grende (INA)
Doubles Final
(4) Buayam/Kim (THA/KOR) v (2) Boulter/Christie (GBR)
Worrying news from Malaysia (especially with all those points to defend coming up) - Katie lost the 1st set tiebreak 9-7, went 1-4 down in the 2nd and then had to retire
However, they won the doubles final 6-7(3) 6-2 10:8 (and I assume that was played afterwards, but I don't know for sure)

Apparently Katie's retirement was due to mild heat sickness after playing for 5 hours in the heat yesterday then playing again today - i.e. no fun but nothing to worry about longer-term.
