Much stronger event this week. Here's hoping for another GBR victory though

I assume juniors use previous week's rankings as Gabi is not seeded.

Gabi won, but no joy for Jasmine, Lana or Maia

Seedings are indeed based on rankings current at the start of qualifying. Lana is really struggling at the moment - four games is the most she has managed in her last 4 tournaments.

R1 (L32)

Tereza Kolaraova (CZE) d. Maia Lumsden (GBR) 6-4 2-6 6-4
Mirabelle Njoze (GBR) v (Q) Anna Turati (ITA)
(4) Rebeka Stolmar (HUN) d. Jasmine Amber Asghar (GBR) 6-4 7-5
Gabriella Taylor (GBR) d. Margaux Bovy (BEL) 4-6 6-3 6-0
(8) Gloria Liang (CAN) d. Lana Rush (GBR) 6-0 6-3
Holly Hutchinson (GBR) v Theresa Alison Van Zyl (RSA)
(5) Emily Smith (GBR) v Claudia Cianci (POR)

No singles title for Gabi this week, but at least Mirabelle maintained British interest. To go further she will have to find a way past the Eddie Herr finalist, ranked 28. There will be a British finalist in the doubles with Mirabelle & partner taking on Lana + Emily in the semis

R2

Mirabelle Njoze (GBR) d. Petia Arshinkova (BUL) 6-2 6-2
Marie-Alexandre Leduc (CAN) d. Gabriella Taylor (GBR) 3-6 6-2 6-1
(WC) Noelia Bouzo Zanotti (ESP) d. (5) Emily Smith (GBR) 7-5 6-4

QF

(1) Sandra Samir (EGY) v Mirabelle Njoze (GBR)

No upset for Mirabelle, but there was some compensation in the doubles - a 6-3 6-3 win over the all British pairing.

QF

(1) Sandra Samir (EGY) d. Mirabelle Njoze (GBR) 6-3 6-2

Doubles Final

(1) Bondar/Stolmar (HUN) v (2) Mikulskyte/Njoze (LTU/GBR)
