Excellent news for Izzy and Katie. Both have winnable next rounds with plenty of ranking points going. The rankings on the junior women's side may swing dramatically with so many players missing.

Emily lost her doubles.

I hope the LTA push Izzy on the main tour with a string of WC's to get a ranking.

Brilliant effort from Izzy to ensure we got the 2 wins out of 4 which would be about par - she also came back to win her doubles

3/3 in doubles! Finished off with another 12-10 for Izzy (thankfully points in the MTB rather than games in the 3rd set this time!) against a pair that includes her next singles opponent.

Katie second on court 8. Izzy third on court 19. The top half (Izzy's) has opened up, with the exit of the top seed (Varvara Flink - a serial grand slam underachiever), third seed Anhelina Kalinina (to Emily's conqueror Kimberly Birrell) and fifth seed Shilin Xu, who beat JoKo at the start of the year, (losing to Izzy's next opponent)

Been tough so far today for Katie; the first set disappeared pretty quickly.
Just managing to hang on to the coat tails in set two so far though, having just broken back.
