The second junior event in India ratchets up a grade. Jay Clarke has drawn a wildcard, but faces the likelihood of a rematch with third seed Wei-De Lin in round 2

A good day with both winning their first matches ever at this level - particularly impressive from Alexis given his opponent's higher ranking and win percentage

Jay and Alexis both creditably took their seeded opponents to 3 sets, but couldn't get the upset.
