Sorry, Salmon, I can't help it if you have no real staying power. Yeah, up for it and flashy when the big tournaments are on, but maybe not prepared to put in the hard yards and grind away late in the year.
Well, I guess it's up to you and whatever your ultimate ambitions are.
But, let's just say, mate, that I am already a legend and you're not :)
I'm probably expecting a lot of the youngsters but they have shown they can beat top 300 players often this year.
I don't feel Willis Corrie or Hewitt are any better than the 350 mark and the only other one that might make the top 350 could be Josh WH.
I know Ed has broke the top 300 but I feel he has too many early points to defend and can't see him gettin to quarters or semis o challengers to get further. Same with Hewitt a lot of early points to defend.
Having gone for reasonable women's ratings, I'm going out on a limb for radical men's ones - not much chance, but if they come in then no one else will have anything close and I'll win by a mile :)
1. Murray 5
2. J Ward 85
3. Evans 120
4. Josh WH 240
5. Dan Smethurst 250
6. Willis 265
7. Dave Rice 275
8. Alex W 280
9. Josh G 300
10. Kyle 320
Still big fan of Ed and Dan C but someone had to be sacrificed.
Don't expect Josh WH to get to this ranking really (not next year, that is) but it's my joker.
Willis will make 250 at some point but maybe not be there at the end of the year.
Expect Oli to make top 300 too at some point during the year but to slip back out.
Dan S will do great at the start of the year and then falter (but he played SO well at Champaign that I'm giving him the benefit of huge statistical improbability).
Rob C and Harry M will make great strides at the lower end, Luke too. Matt Short will have a good year.
Josh G is a risk but am going on his seeming second wind for playing.
I'm curious CD, who do you think will overtake Murray by year end?
Imoen, you give me way too much credit.
I've no idea who might be ahead of Andy but, just as a betting ploy, everybody else has him as number 3, 2 or 1 so I thought I had to 'bet low' to stand a chance.
And also life is full of banana skins and he hasn't played since his back op so it'll be interesting to see how it goes . . .
Nothing more intelligent than that I'm afraid . . .
Ha Ha, I'm not sure Imoen was giving you any credit re Andy, CD !
Anyways, hope you and everyone else round these parts is having a great festive season.
PS : I trust we are going to have some rules as to how this is all going to be scored in due course. Perhaps based on RBBOT's original suggestion of points for players you get in the top 10 and then for ordering in front of each other correctly, but also with some reward for getting close with some WRs ?
Ouch Indy, I try not to be that cruel!! I merely wondered if CD was perhaps convinced this would be Tsonga andDel Potro's year or something or maybe there's a new french player he is keeping under his hat ready to spoil all our predictions I have to admit though I'm relieved its nothing more scientific than a betting ploy.

Well, I do happen to think that Del Potro is going to have a brilliant year (and that Ferrer may well have not quite got the legs he used to - I'd put Ferrer to finish well outside the top 5, probably outside top10, and Del Potro to finish inside it, maybe top 3).
Although Tsonga is one of my faves (and the Aussie Open is his moment), I think I'd put my money on Gasquet for 2014 out of the two Frenchmen - he seems to have got his personal/coaching life sorted out and is exactly the sort of person to come into his prime a little later than normal.
But nothing against Andy - go for it (although I do think that the post-back op thing is something to be taken into consideration).
