First time I've been able to watch Max Stewart. He's good. He's really good!
At the recent ATP tour finals on Sky, Greg named two players to watch out for in the future, and they were Kyle and Max.
What strikes me about Max is that he was being aggressive and very much trying to win points, rather than not lose them. Plus his results against his global peer group have been very very good. He isn't physically larger/stronger than his peers, so results can't simply be attributed to earlier physical development or outstanding physical attributes.......which become less and less relevant anyway as the kids all get older and "catch up". I remember seeing Michael Mmoh as a 12 year old who looked physically like a 16/17 year old and his results reflected that.....to some extent he may still be benefitting from his superior physique in U18s, but that advantage will fade soon enough.
