The first of two prestigious year-ending tournaments in the USA sees Julian Cash and Lana Rush join Isabelle Wallace and Alex Sendegeya in the main draws. Anna's second opponent recently reached the semifinal of a regional G1

Disappointment for both and tricky round 1 draws to boot - only Alex avoiding the seeds in round 1. His opponent has only won 2 matches in the 11 tournaments he has played in the second half of the year

(8) Katherine Sebov (CAN) d. Anna Brogan (GBR) 6-3 6-1

I see Izzy is up to jnr WR 63 and will easily break into the top 50 when the 95 girls drop off. Although she has a G2 win in Jan to defend.

Romanian girl up next - good chance of more points.

There is streaming of 15 courts (assuming they all work, I didn't try all of them) for anyone who wants to watch.

Excellent win for Izzy against a strong opponent who has already won a 10K. Her Romanian opponent is last year's Les Petits As winner, who defeated Tornado Black (second seed here) in the final. Alex plays a very strong young American, winner of the last GA event in Osaka. The streaming is I think for the under 12 to under 16s. When I checked the entry lists some while ago there didn't appear to be British interest, though there could be a wildcard or qualifier.

Boys R2

Alexander Sendegeya (GBR) v (5) Michael Mmoh (USA)

Girls R2

Isabelle Wallace (GBR) v Jaqueline Adina Cristian (ROU)

Ah oops. Haha that's a shame. Thanks, I would definitely have gotten very confused when I couldn't find their matches.

Some doubles updates from rd 1:

Alex and Julian have paired up and won their opening match

The girls are all split up - Lana won, but Izzy lost.

Mmoh is another one of the young US prodigies, isn't he. Rough luck to draw him early on. Ms Wallace's match looks as if it was competitive.
