Isabelle Wallace plays her first junior event since the US Open, joined here by Katie Swan and Alex Sendegeya. All three have reasonable first round draws.
Boys R1 (L64)
Tadas Babelis (LTU) v (15) Alexander Sendegeya (GBR)
Girls R1 (L64
Katie Swan (GBR) v (16E) Maria Fernanda Navarr Oliva (MEX)
(8) Isabelle Wallace (GBR) v (Q) Karen Alvarez (MEX)

Anyone know what (16E) means?
Pretty sure it is like a Special Exemption. In this case a special exemption for Under 16. Possibly she won a U16 tournament recently which feeds into this tournament...

That was my first thought too, but that theory went down the drain when I checked and found she had her 17th birthday in June! My next thought was maybe she won the 16U event there last year (if there is one), but two boys were shown as 16E in last year's draw and none in this year so that doesn't really make sense either. One of those intriguing yet completely pointless mysteries LOL

Another question. When do the players who are too old to compete at junior level have their ranking removed? I see Katy Dunne is still highly ranked, but she is too old for juniors now.
She isn't too old for juniors until Jan 1st 2014. It's not when you turn 18 it's the year so someone born in Jan gets an extra year compared to someone born in December.
They'll all get removed just after Christmas I think

Cheers - I always assumed it was u-18 by birthday.
To clear up the 16E mystery: there are 2 ways that players can obtain an under 16 exempt. The first is by playing in a team which finishes in the top 3 at the junior Davis/Fed cup. The second is by finishing high in the under 16 ranking list for the region. This will be the relevant one for Maria, as her region is the Central America and Caribbean, which isn't especially strong. The first two in this region get exempts to at least 1 G1 event in the region during the following year. As it happens Maria's ranking would have just got her in as a direct entry in the end.
Tougher round 2 match-ups especially for Alex and Katie. Alex's opponent reached a G2 semi recently whilst Katie faces a fast rising Hungarian, though Stollar lost to Emily Smith en route to her recent G2 title
Boys R2
Alejandro Tabilo (CAN) v (15) Alexander Sendegeya (GBR)
Girls R2
Katie Swan (GBR) v (7) Fanny Stollar (HUN)
(8) Isabelle Wallace (GBR) v Yolimar Ogando (PUR)
Tough third round matches - Rianna Valdes easily beat Izzy at the Canadian G1 whilst Naoki Nakagawa beat Luke Bambridge at Roland Garros, and is in the ATP top 800
Boys R3
(4) Naoki Nakagawa (JPN) v (15) Alexander Sendegeya (GBR)
Girls R3
(8) Isabelle Wallace (GBR) v (10) Rianna Valdes (USA)
