RE: Week 39 - Kuwait F2 ($10,000) - Meshref (Hard)

I don't think he has a "fitness problem" but he does need to lose some bulk and improve his movement if he is going to achieve his potential. If done correctly this shouldn't result in a loss of power.

Ivo 5-3*

Marcus holds. 4-5*. Needs to break to stay in the match. But only had 3 BPs so far (compared with 14 for Ivo) so going to be tricky . . .

The LTA are a laughing stock full of big wigs who haven't got a clue how to run an organisation just there to line their own pockets as they haven't been success up until now. Roger Draper had big five year plans can somebody tell me did his five year plan come into fluision, it says it all when we have to employ an overseas guy from Canada on a salary of over £300k, nice job if you can get it, to try and sort out the mess the LTA is in a present. So its now up to him to transform the fortunes of britains most underachieving sport, a game that welcomes the world for a splendid fortnight every summer and sits back to let the rest of them show us how its done, most apart from this year, thank god for andy murray if he wasnt around british tennis wouldnt even get a mention. How much money have the LTA wasted, staff have come and gone and a lack of coinfidence pervades the LTA, so Draper was a shooting duck, the fall guy, try as he undoubtedly has done, the job of british tennis has proved too much, to me spending a lot of money on foreign coaches, Brad Gilbert, Peter Lundgren, for example to help the elite performance players hasn't worked out, LTA funding cut from £24.5m to £17.4m for the next four year cycle up to 2017, as they are not making best use of the cash that is provided and their resources and its only going to get worse before it gets better, tennis is an elitest sport and for British tennis to be successful this has to change. I read about A1 tennis academy and they are trying to change this by provided children that are not well off with a way to get involved in the game and maybe some future stars will be born by giving them free memberships. If British tennis wants to be success it has to look at the way it's funding it's elite performance program's and look at grass roots tennis getting a child to pick up a racket a the age of 4 etc every where I go I see empty tennis courts and sometime tennis clubs with nobody playing. So keep up the good work A1 tennis academy maybe you can produce a Wimbledon champion and show how the LTA how to be a success.

Seems a very tight game so far - only 1 ace (Ivo), no double faults, only one BP (in favour of Marcus) which was taken

5*-3 and marcus serving for the first set

Cheers DWH, seems Bet 365 are not covering this, so score updates are appreciated.

I see Gary has employed a writer to promote himself, given some of the over promotion and irrelevant nonsense that has been posted on here by himself.

No problem. That's weird but it is on the ITF live scores feature if you want to follow.

As CD says Marcus takes the first set. One more to go...
