 To be expected really. Didn't see much of her match at Wrexham, but she seemed a nice girl, but a little smaller and frailer compared to other tour players.

Those are last week's rankings, as is our usual convention for qualies - as I mentioned earlier, Ulvefeldt is now an even bigger rankings scalp for Lauren, have climbed into the 620s today

I just checked the doubles draw at Shrewsbury and no sign of Tara, so despite being at Shrewsbury(see tweet yesterday), it doesn't look like she is playing.

Must be there just to see her mates again....

The Shrewsbury club site has a bit on Lauren's win today at http://ow.ly/oUJgD - both she and they talk as if she is going to be ranked for the first time but she has been ranked before. However, it was only for 3 weeks in June/July and she is now 'safe' until another counter comes off on 4 November.

No, only the qualifying point ... but it does get added if they reach R2 (i.e. 9 points in total instead of 8) or beyond.

I'm hoping we will have 3 GB players in the second round. Sam, Naomi and Emily. Cannot see anyone else winning.

I think Lauren deserves a wildcard next week on the back of her wins.

Jess R, lost the first 6-1 but is a break up in the second. 2*-1

Lauren lost the first 6-2 and 1-1 in the second.
