That sums up this board in a nutshell really, for all we're called the "Andrew Murray message board" it's always been about the players you can't follow easily elsewhere, and that's what's so good about it I think.

Well, so much for Mr Haas. But Mr Wawrinka has potential .... (then again, I'm not so sure that meeting Mr Wawrinka is that much better than meeting Mr Berdych) ...
Interesting question for the schedulers tomorrow. Murray/Istomin scarcely compelling for the media. Djokovic/Granollers slightly better. But most interesting matches almost certainly Wawrinka/Berdych and Youzhny/Hewitt. So what do they do? Boot the world no 1 off Ashe? Boot the defending champion off Ashe onto a court he doesn't like (cf comments in press conference after L Mayer) again? Don't envy them this one.
The scorelines in Berdych's matches suggest he's playing as well as or perhaps the best he's ever played, literally pulverising the opposition. I know on his day Wawrinka is a tricky opponent for Andy, but Andy can be and often IS completely overpowered by a confident Berdych. I'd take Wawrinka every time. In fact I feel more confident when Andy plays Nole than when he plays Berdych.
