That takes Andy's winning streak against French players in slams to 18 He played well last night, the only dodgy bit being when Llodra went 3-0 up in the 2nd set, but Andy won the next 5 games to put him in his place
L128: (3) Andy Murray WR 3 beat Michaël Llodra (FRA) WR 49 (CH 21 in 2011) by 6-2 6-4 6-3
L64: (3) Andy Murray WR 3 v Leonardo Mayer (ARG) WR WR 81 (CH 51 in 2010)
H2H 1-0, 3 sets, Valencia R2, 2009 (Andy went on to win the title)

Even with playing so late Andy will still have a rest day in between all his matches if he reaches the final, so its not a disaster.
Agree it was a decent performance, I think you would have got good odds that the night session would have finished before 1am local time, when Delpo was slugging away in his 4th set TB at 9.15pm local time.
Fitzty's protege Sloane taking out Radwanska in under an hour in the second night match completed a very quick night session.
I hope the night session patrons fully appreciated Andy's skills.
Hung around outside the confines of Ashe until after 10 pm and then get to watch a fairly routine Andy victory. Thank you for your extreme patience, hope you enjoyed the match, get home safely !
Of course, Andy was playing the night match to service the TV demand for a top notch men's match on Ashe, except it took place after 10 pm rather than 7 pm. So I don't know how that worked. Was the major TV entertainment ultimately the last few sets of the JMDP marathon ?
Am I right in recollecting that he doesn't like Armstrong?
Do hope that the scheduling he's getting in the early rounds ends after this. For someone who currently holds two Slams, he's not really being given what one might expect.
Each time you make a new post, the number on all your preceding posts changes to show your TOTAL number of posts. So when murrayman650 posts again, all those previous posts will show 2001. It doesn't show the number of the post at the time of posting.
Edit
Which murrayman650 has now done - just to prove my theory.

I am sure he has rather liked the speed of Armstring in a couple of previous years when he has said it has been quicker than Ashe. I imagine that can vary year to year.
