 Yes, his only ITF singles title, achieved without dropping a set - and he continued in that vein today.

Probably in this case because he won it last year. Looking at Julian's record this year, he played Grade 2s in Jan/Feb and then only Grade 1/As after that apart from this event and some Junior Internationals in the UK.

With the main focus at this time of year being on national/European championships and international team events there are not many higher grade tournaments available for Julian to choose. He is however down for a Grade 2 and 3 on clay later this month and given it doesn't appear to be his best surface it's probably a pragmatic decision to play a couple of G4s before higher level clay tournaments
