All very much up and down the middle of the court in that game but Jo comes through, finding much more consistency in her ground strokes plus a nice drop shot.
Well done Jo, 2 titles in a row and this one the biggest in her career! (Fichman played a terrible last game which was generous but Jo won't care about that)
Jo used the $25k last week perfectly to find form and has run with it to some impact.
Sharon giving a really gracious thanks speech - tons of compliments to Joko (especially about her Jade match where supposedly she absolutely hobbled off, with her sprained ankle).
She knows she didn;t play that well but she's chirpy and fun and well done to her all the same.
As a couple of people have already mentioned that was an excellent speech by Sharon Fichman, especially just after losing a big final - she really went out of her way to praise Johanna and it seems like the two of them get on well.
Winning 140 points in total over the last 2 weeks should in some ways take off any pressure Jo might have felt at defending 160 points at the US Open. Nothing like getting your defense in first.
Hopefully she can still do well there and in other tournaments to help maintain her new ranking level.

Yes, 190 - she should be about WR 115 now, pretty sure of heading a qualifying section at the US Open and the 3rd Brit to have picked up 400+ points since the start of 2013.
Lovely to see her win ... and she even did it in straight sets so Jade remains the only player to have taken a set off her in her last 10 matches!

Terrific stuff from Jo, this the way she has to play to become a solid top 100/50 player in the future. Big 1st serve, big groundies.
Super happy for her and her French coach Monsieur Picot.
