Hilarious. The guy requested a main draw wild card for the men's singles and lost 2 and 2 in the third round of the boys.

Yeah, it is quite funny but I wouldn't hold it against the guy.
Kyle may lose to Jonny but I wouldn't think the AELTC were wrong to give Kyle a MD WC.
I think the 'transition' is difficult (Henman, of course, thinks it's all a load of rubbish and that they shouldn't be playing so much juniors anyway, as it doesn't count and just gives a false impression).
In a few years time, we'll know who are the 'men' and the 'boys' . . .

A lot of what Henman says about our Junior's does annoy me but a couple of years back he did say that he was very impressed with Jiri Vesely, whose win today in Germany will probably see him into the top 100 as of next Monday. So maybe Tim does know a thing or two.

To be fair he also had a horrible loss in the second round of the French juniors, and he beat Stepanek in the main draw there. Probably just lack of motivation. Starting to strike me a bit of Evans-type attitude though.
Mr Zverev is currently beating Mr Kozlov - Edmund/Zverev would be a very interesting match. But whoever comes out of that match then faces the winner of Quinzi/Milojevic. Lower half of this draw was as heavily loaded as the lower half of the men's ... but without the upsets!
That result was probably in line with expectations as at Klye really is a couple of levels about Jonny, at least for now. That being said the second set might have been closer had it not been for what looked like a very bad call at 1-1 0-15.
Kozlov lost to Jonny at the Bonfiglio, of course. I'd certainly rather Kyle was playing him than playing Zverev. Huge things are expected of the American but he is only 15 - exceptional for a 15-year-old but you'd hope Kyle would have too much for him, at least at this point in their careers.

coup droit has it spot on IMHO. The top juniors are all in the mix and developing at different stages, some physically stronger, some mentally stronger, some better hands, some better serves, some better work ethics, and v importantly some better advised-schedule and PR! its really over the next few years that we'll see who has a senior career. And I for one would not like to guess who that will be. The only thing I think that is certain (and this isnt any great revelation) is that you have to be in this mix of top players at some stage as a junior. and FWIW as a parent I think thats the best advice i could ever give. Dont keep spending thinking your 14/15 year old boy/girl will catch up the best players if you throw some more money at it-they wont, the best get better exponentially too.
I'll get off my soapbox now and go and lie down-its been a stressful week
