It has now been a whole day since a British male last won Wimbledon.

I am still smiling....

So, is there anybody else on this board (ANYBODY else in the whole of Britain) who did not see a single ball of Andy's match yesterday ?

Because they were stuck in a car traveling the length and breadth of France ? and now won't be back for a while so BBC i-player is no good because it doesn't work abroad ? And can't find a single tv channel/working stream to re-show the match ?

Because that's me . . .

So, fantastic, brilliant, Andy, I'm delighted - from afar and in ignorance.

If it makes you feel any better, that makes two of us.  I was stuck in this pokey studio apartment here in Brazil, unable to get outside because of 48 hours of non stop monsoon like rain and with no decent stream and no TV coverage.  Watched the whole match live on Flashscores !!

Can't even listen to the interviews on BBC website because they are either "unavailable in my area" or they just don't work !!

Sort of hoping that someone puts the whole match up on Youtube !!

So sorry to hear that !

Blinkin' miserable, you and me both, Bob in Spain . . . I relied on text updates from Sonny Jim in the Uk - didn't even have Flashscores.

By the way, has Bob-in-Spain now become Bob-in-Brazil ???? Or is this just temporary ?

Hehe. There can be only 1 - to quote an old film favourite of mine,  But I seem to keep "bobbing up" all over the place, don't I !!

I am here for a couple of months for work reasons. Back in Spain in 27 days, 2 hours and 18 mins - not that I'm counting or anything. However, if things work out, i will be back and forwards quite a bit in the next few years.

I didn't see it either ... though saw the highlights this morning and will get to see it on i-player. So delighted, though! And love the fact that people worldwide are waking up to the fact that yes, he really is at the very top of the game. No more debate.

Yes, this could become like the kids' book 'Where's Wally?' - thousands of city landscapes with a little Bob hidden somewhere - just 'bobbing' up (good one Bob) . . .

was just thinking and realised away from clay murray has a 31-2 record this year, only losing to djokovic in australia, and an on fire delpo after having a long break, awesome stuff

On a grumpy note though I admire the work ethic , talent and outstanding commitment that has made Andy a Grand Slam Winner x2 and Olympic Gold Medallist and I'm completely delighted with Andy's achievements as a tennis player and exceptional athlete. I really don't want him to become a 'personality' first and a tennis player second.

Please keep the breakfast TV sofa chats to a minimum Andy and carry on giving us the tennis we love (and hate at times) to watch.

I think it's a fairly safe bet that won't happen. He has got a few weeks off now and he has just won Wimbledon - it's probably good for everyone that he gets plenty of air time today.

The interview with Jonathan Overend on 5 Live from about 19.20 was excellent, by the way - worth picking up on iPlayer if you missed it.

That interview was fun but slightly less interesting/insightful than the 5 Live one wink
