Hope she can yet get into Wimbledon Q. She loves grass and I'd say would have significantly more chance there than say Amanda Carreras ( who I think has got her Q WC based on being ranked top 350 ).
One of EWS' best results in a while, well done. Especially having lost the middle set - and I'm sure plenty were ready to doom monger at that point - but she came back strongly. A shame that some of our few representatives in R2 will be knocking each other out so early in the event, but some one will get a nice minimum of 18 points.
Despite the toughest possible draw, hindsight reflects a good decision by Bally to stay in Nottingham rather than try her luck in Edgbaston.
