It's supposed to be almost continuous rain, thunder & lightning until at least the end of Saturday.
They're also going to have trouble completing the events in Strasbourg, and, particularly, Brussels this week because of the same weather fronts.
Data I post, opinions I offer, 'facts' I assert, are almost certainly all stupidly wrong.
The story of the match so far from Piers Newbery on Twitter:
GB's @JoKonta91 about to start @rolandgarros qualifying R2 against Voskoboeva. We've had rain and sun during knock-up, ruddy freezing.
Konta saves 3 break points and then converts her second, holds for 4-2. A smattering of applause and a chattering of teeth all around.
Konta takes the set 6-4 after a brief rain interrruption, very solid and Voskoboeva getting le hump. L'ump?
Konta was in charge at 6-2 2-0 0-40, but five great points from Voskoboeva and she goes on to take the set 6-3. Raining again...
A great hold from Konta at 1-1 15-40 in the 3rd, some nerveless forehands. One of the french schoolkids near me even stopped talking to clap
More pressure on the Konta serve and this time Voskoboeva breaks, JK then gets it straight back with some great volleys & drops. 3-3 in 3rd.
Konta broken in ridiculous game, weather insane, umbrellas flying eveywhere. "I've got to do something about my serve!" screams JK, 5-4 down
GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!GB top 25s (ranks, whereabouts) & stats - http://www.britishtennis.net/stats.html
