How tense was that match - neither player deserved to lose.

So Andy "Iron Man" Murray moves back to Nº2 in the world.

Andy's ability to edge these tough matches when he's really not at his best is becoming astonishing - that looked as gruelling as some of the 5-setters in slams!

Funny to think that this, his 2nd Miami title, is his first Masters title since his only previous Masters Final against Ferrer in Shanghai a year and a half ago.

Didn't see it, just followed some of the scoring and listened to the final tiebreak. The bit I listened to went well !

Looking at the serving stats, Andy certainly hasn't had a good day there, which clearly must have contributed to the number of breaks and his overall struggles. So in that regard he has done well to get the win despite his serve on the day.

Cleatly difficult to gauge the overall quality given the rather conflicting comments here.

But I would certainly assume Andy has played rather better. But that's OK for me at this stage of the year. I didn't expect that much from Indian Wells but better from Miami. And seem to have got that and Andy is up to WR 2 and race no 2 ( 360 points behind Djokovic in that ).

Clearly planning on now some good clay court prep so hppefully that can go well with much lattitude for improvement on last year. Nadal having now dropped nearly 700 points behind Ferrer in the rankings could be a bit of a joker in the pack as someone's potential QF opponent when he and the rest of the top 5 are all competing.

Anyway, I worried a bit about Andy's big break after the Aussie Open, but he has come out of IW and Miami pretty well and I am fairly optmistic about the coming months.
