Well done Katie! (not for getting a w/o in the semis but for putting herself in the semis in the first place)
Soylu will be very tough to beat - Katie lost 2&1 to her on (Soylu's) home soil in Gallipoli (where, admittedly, Brits haven't had a good record against the Turks for nearly a century) in 2011.

I don't have the score at the moment but Ipek Soylu won - one of her tweets: " After tough week won the title and feel so happy!!! Hard work brings the success !"
Nevertheless a fine week for Katie who will move into the top 60, which should be enough for direct entry to the next 3 slams, as she has no points to defend (not guaranteed though). She has entered some European junior events in April, but might reassess those in the light of her ranking boost.
