RE: Week 10 - ATP Masters 1000 - Indian Wells, CA, USA (Hard)

Make that 5-5*.  Seeds have been dropping like flies across the Indian Wells competitions.  Get the prayer mats out, everyone...

Donskoy made some brilliant shots to win the first set

Take nothing away from Donskoy that was a brilliant last game from him.

Hmm, I'd prefer not to see maybe some vindication of my worries re the non competing Mr Murray.

At least he seemed to get better in that first set.

I heard Jonathan Overend on Radio 5 Live earlier saying he thought it a good idea to miss out such as Dubai and instead just have a ( another ) big training block. I was like really, we shall see..

C'mon, Andy !

Well, he's made a reasonable start:  broke Donskoy to 40 in his opening service game....

You really do want to have your cake and eat it, don't you wink

Fortunately, Andy seems to be listening again and breaks in the first game of the decider.

Err, what's that meant to mean, Bob ?

I am a huge Andy supporter and certainly do want to see the job done as straightforwardly as possible. But I did have some genuine concerns, which I had stated more than once, coming into IW.

Just a "tongue in cheek" joke.  Meaning, you don't just want him to win, but you don't want him to adversly affect your blood pressure in the process.

Sorry if it came across differently cry

Ah, no problems, Bob.

I thought you saw my previous sort of doom laden thoughts, and thought I had issues with Andy. Only in that I really want to see him do well...

C'mon..

At 5-2 with a double break, I think we are both going to get our wishes.  You get your stress free win and I don't have to stay up past midnight.  Sometimes I hate being an hour ahead !
