Hmmm. I think Mr Murray's priority for the next round would be, at this point, showing up free of injury and continuing free of injury. Which would almost certainly, barring something quite exceptional, put him in a good position vis a vis whoever survives the Monfils/Simon match.

Next round looks like a walkover in all but name for Andy. I seriously don't see either Monfils or Simon being in any condition to put up a serious fight.

I think 'dreadful', 'dire' and 'rubbish' is overstating it a bit. Agreed though that he's not playing well by the superlative standards he sets, and has set.

How about we settle for his own words "nonsense" and "garbage"
Andy's in match commentary on his own performance is only ever negative. Did he ever exclaim (without sarcasm) "fantastic", "Superlative", "that was great!" or anything similar? So I'm not convinced that his vocabulary in that context is useful - there wouldn't be any positive words in it. Do the Man U thing win ugly if necessary, but win. He didn't play great at times at USO or the Olympics, but did alright.
