The ITIA report, para 99(2), says 'she began working with her new coach Mr Patrick Mouratoglou in March 2021' and moved to his academy later that year

 Makes PM look worse still

So one of the top tennis players didn't have a doping blood test for 6 months, and some players think that's acceptable. What a shambolic organisation.

The report has now been published. With a lot of detail for those who like it.
And a few gossipy bits for those who prefer those bits

Finally finished reading it, having started yesterday evening.

Not clear if Simona's blood doping began around April 2022 or if it had been taking place years earlier; blood samples 2 (2014) and 19 (2017) appear suspicious but insufficient data as the Athlete Biological Passport is so complicated that it requires far more blood samples than seem to be taken.

102 - Simona forgot to mention the Keto MCT supplement during her October 26th interview with ITIA or list it on her doping control form for her urine test on 29th August (the supplement which then went on to be a major part of her defence)

185 - Professor Alvarez (Halep's witness) testified that the (hair) test results were consistent with "microdoses" of Roxadustat (as well as his alternative explanation).

The way it was structured didn't help provide clarity on what actually happened, as it was up to Halep's team to find a credible explanation for her test results; which they failed to do.

He's disputing the third missed test, according to Stu Fraser in today's Times.  His explanation sounds plausible...

My problem with these guys is that if you know you've missed the first two tests, wouldn't you be SO SO careful about the third test? Why miss the first two tests, indeed? Rather Oscar Wilde style, One is just unfortunate, two is downright careless - and three is now a major problem

He's actually disputing the second missed test. He accepts the first and third.

So, again as CD says, wouldn't you be SO SO careful not to miss that third one.

and if he somehow got let off, he would probably miss a fourth one - the pattern is there!

I'm confused. The doping control officer was in the Hotel, called his mobile within the 1 hour slot and it's the doping control officers fault that he had his phone on silent and missed the call.
The 4 minutes before the 1 hour slot was over complaint is just the usual smoke and mirrors.

 This !

Brooksby knew when the one hour window was - and yet he chose to have his phone on silent???

Doping control officer did his/her job - called the phone number Brooksby had provided, within the one-hour timeslot. So Jenson, what exactly did they do wrong? Because we can all see what you did wrong.

"The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) today confirms that Italian tennis player Stefano Battaglino has been suspended from the sport for a period of four years by an independent tribunal following breaches of the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme (TADP).

On 14 September 2022 at an M15 tournament in Morocco, 25-year-old Battaglino provided an in-competition urine sample, which was found to contain metabolites of clostebol. Clostebol an anabolic androgenic steroid - is prohibited at all times under Section S1 of the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List. As a non-specified substance, an adverse analytical finding for clostebol carries a mandatory provisional suspension. As such, Battaglino has been provisionally suspended since February 2023."

Apparently Haleps appeal is slated for April. She has ditched Mourotogalou and there are suggestions she will round a defence that blames it entirely on him and his mis management.

She is on Romanian tv tonight.

Im not sure that helps her in terms of guilt, she is responsible ultimately for her own body. But it may help finish PM as a respectable coach, many people have had doubts about him in the past , Rune clearly did and Serenas time with him has often been one of suspicion.

Tara has been cleared. As has Gatica (for the doping element, her match fixing suspension stands).
