RE: Week 44: ATP Masters 1000 - Paris (Indoor Hard)

I hate byes. Your opponent comes in with experience of the court and conditions. Never mind, after a slow start Andy came through (with just a hitch or two).

Andy has played Janowicz once before, and I (and no doubt some others on this board!) were there - he beat him in straight sets in Davis Cup in Liverpool in 2009.

As he rightly commented, he didn't play his best tennis at the US Open either

Well, Andy should certainly retain the freshness he spoke off into London  hmm

And Paris 2012 will be the first Masters tournament since Paris 2010 to have a non "big 4" winner, and indeed not even one in the QFs.

For the record, Janowicz won  5 - 7   7 - 6 (4)   6 - 2.   It is apparently fast courts and he did serve 22 aces, but still,  Andy  confuse

Murray breaks at 5-5 (having been 0-30 the game before) and then serves out the first set after a break point

7-5

Having failed to take a match point in the 2nd Andy obviously just wants to get home now.

1 - 4*

Andy loses. Janowicz lost to British number 20 David Rice earlier this year, now he goes on to beat Murray. Bizarre. 3rd tournament in a row now Murray has had match point and gone on to lost, slightly worrying now.

Qualification for the main draw, Kohlschreiber & Cilic (13) in straight sets & now Andy in three! disbelief  Janowicz is really on a roll! furious  Could Andy & Djoko be saving all their energy for the WTF? confuse
