That sounded beautiful, even just on radio. And looking at the clip on the US Open website this morning (OK, it was the highlights, but still), it really was beautiful. Well done. Three more to go. (And, like Indiana, so excited that the US Open schedulers did something sensible, after so many years of daft decisions)

Impressive. Kept expecting Andy to give away his serve but he managed to rescue himself each time his errors had got him into trouble. Forehand drop shot worked very well. A few amazing shots to please the crowd.
Still bemused that the Match Statistics on the US Open site continually double count double faults in points played in the "receiving points won" statistic.
eg. there were 87 points played on Raonic's serve of which Andy won 36 including 6 double faults. He did not win 36 out of 93
I do think Andy often sounds overconcerned about his physical fitness and indeed has admitted to second guessing himself in one match vs Nadal, worrying if he could last 5 sets.
In general he is actually an extremely fit guy and his record in matches that have gone to 5 sets is very good.
Overall he has won 12 out of 18 including, since his Aussie Open defeat to Nadal in 2007 ( after which he clearly began to get much more focussed on fitness ) 8 out of his last 10, with the last one being his Aussie Open semi final defeat to Djokovic earlier this year when he was still in there right to the end after nearly 5 hours of play.
Incidentally, 6 of Andy's 12 wins in 5 sets have come from 2 sets down, which I feel must be close to some sort of record, but I can never find stats on this ?

I'm like a zombie this morning: I'm too old to be staying up half the night. But I do so enjoy watching Andy dismantling big servers. Nothing against Milos but I have to confess enjoying the look of bemusement on his face towards the end of the match.
