RE: Week 35-36: US Open - Hard

From *4-0 in the second this really has been very poor from Andy. Not serving well enough, not aggressive enough and too many routine errors.

Shame he's not playing well. Really needs to be right at the top of his game now that Novak has started to play.

Wins 3 points in a row with aggressive tennis then on bp refuses to go for it during a long rally and forehand error means the chance is gone.

I know, I know. And what is worse is I then have to listen to Mark Petchey insulting my inteligence by telling me how great Djokovic was on break point.

Terrible start to the set and an awful end to it. Broken from 40-15 and now Djokovic gets to serve first in the decider. Hard to feel any optimism.

I'm already pretty resigned to the first win from two sets down in the US Open final since 1949.

Could say Andy is getting closer as he won his first GS set, Now has won 2 sets in a GS final for the first time, and been two nil up.

But I don't really believe now, even if he goes two breaks up in this set, I don't think I will. no

I want to put that on the record so that I can rightly castigated if he does turn it around.

Could you please keep the pessimism going for -- oh, until Murray wins this set?
