Great that Andy won. Didn't see any of it, just occasionally sneaked a look at the score, ran away, came back, finally saw they were into a 4th set TB, ran away and came back when I reckoned the TB was over and then saw he'd won.
I'm so sad on certain sporting occasions ( such as an Andy Slam semi final when he's favourite and I just want that W ) that i can't even watch the scoreboard tick over let alone the match
74% 1st serves, in that wind. I find that very impressive.
Agree. Over the course of the match it appears to have been a sensible tactic. They weren't very fast serves though, and rarely did they go anywhere near the lines, contrast Berdych's huge serving towards the end of the match.
In difficult conditions Andy played pretty well. Changed a losing strategy to a winning one, most of his aggressive shots were landed, lobs were dire, returning of the 2nd serve was patchy.
If I am not mistaken, Djokovic just as the umpire at the change over if they should be playing in such windy conditions. The umpire simply told him that Murray and Berdych had just played a full 4 sets and to just get on with it.
And for those who have not watched but are just checking in from time to time and want to know how windy it actually is, at one point when Murray was serving, the wind picked up the chair, towels and his kit bag with all the racquets in and blew them on to the court !!

Ferrer 5-1 up in the first set !!!!!!!!
Typical pampered moaner. Conditions like these are often seen by players on the futures tour.
