RE: Updates to this message board

I like the new names David. It gives everyone a target number of posts to aim for.

I like the new tennis-related titles, David. How does everybody else feel?

I think we already have an "Andrew", Acacia. How about calling yourself AndrewB?
I seem to remember talking with an "Andrew" who was brought up on Tyneside and now lives near Nottingham.

No.........I will change it to 'Drew' ! I could do this but I think IE does not give you the full functions of the site that Firefox does !

I'm on Firefox at the moment and it doesn't look like you can do it there either. I think David will have to do it.

I've changed both usernames, and I'm going to update the tennis titles in a minute

We do have an Andrew who used to be from Tyneside, however I haven't seen him on here for a while. He's a big fan of Steffi Graf.

Slightly off-topic but on the List All Users section I noticed that it says I`m connected from The Netherlands

I know, the system works on tracking the IPs and using that to work out which country the member is from. Unfortunately, it's quite variable. For example: it correctly gets that KingMurray is from Switzerland, Montana Doug is from the USA and stagger is from Taiwan. However, it also gets that Drew is in the USA [he's really in Scotland] and maroonsox is in Iran [he's in Essex]

It`s pretty random then!   I wondered if it was something to do with my pc but obviously not

but it also identifies me as coming from 'taiwan, province of china'. jesus christ man, thats dangerous talk, look what happened to google earth. you could get shot for saying stuff like that. its like saying 'ireland, province of the UK' or 'UK province of america' (although the last one contains more truth).
But is there so much difference between Essex and Iran? an easy mistake to make perhaps, especially if you are from ilford.
salaam aliekum.

Don't worry Drew, the system is mostly accurate. I know fo certain that we have a large number of members in the USA - around 12, a member in New Zealand, a member in Switzerland, members in Holland and Belgium [crookshanks], Keith and Ridred are both from Madrid in Spain, Tanaqui is from Thailand as is jiro and rain is from China. There are definately members in Germany, Italy and Poland.

So we do have some real world appeal - the system just makes the odd strange error eg: VSandhi in Mexico.

I thought Taiwain was a province of China, stagger.
