American TV networks would moan like crazy if the mens singles final was scheduled for 12:00, as that would be 3am-7am their time. Even when the matches are in their own time zone, all the crazy scheduling you get every year at the US open is entirely down to the TV networks - the effects it has on the players preparation is ignored.
Un-bloody-believable! Andy defeats the world n° 1 by 2, 1 & 4 to win the match & with it the ! Andy Murray Olympic tennis champion! I'm ecstatic! He hardly put a foot wrong! I thought Rog was supposed to want the gold...? He was never at the races! Let's see how gracious he is in defeat... Now, can this do for Andy, as Spectator (I think!) mused a day or so ago, what winning the Davis Cup for Serbia did for Djoko a couple of years ago...?
And now for gold in the mixed! The singles final shouldn't have taken too much out of him...
