Yup, that's the doubles if you click in to it - it is mis-leading though
The drawsheet shows her to play the winner of Albanese/Stephenson. Which concluded earlier in straights. I still follow Stephenson since her Wimbledon run.
What a colossal effort form Johanna. That might have been a minor classic despite everything the stats might say in the cold light of day.
I can't remember ever having enjoyed a match that I couldn't see or hear more!
Defeating an opponent just a smidgen of their career high and over 100 places higher than her in those conditions and that long a match is so admirable.
The enjoyment wasn't half helped by the 'plucky Brit' actually pulling it off in the end this time!
It must have been a nightmare to be serving all those double faults, so recover from a set and 1-4 down and then to keep hitting back like that in the 3rd after being brolen and then finally blitz the tiebreak was amazing.

So right Steven. I tell you what, she wasnt meant to be an Aussie, only a Brit could put us fans through that torment!
Amen to both of those. A quintessential British victory.
Mallory Burdette defeated number one seed Olivia Rogowska (WR 120 - CH 115 Mar '12) 6-3 6-4.
Perhaps that puts a better gloss on Annie K's loss to her at Stanford? Still not a good one, admittedly, but Burdette's clearly got game, and her ranking is 'false'.

Yes no doubt Burdette appears quite useful, she was 5-2 up in the first set against Bartoli before fading away but still that was impressive to get there in the first place against a top 10 player.
After the marathon match yesterday, today wasn't going to be easy and tomorrow is what counts, hopefully she will be refreshed to do herself justice then.
