Boys & Girls: Mediterranee Avenir, Morocco - Grade 1 (Week 28)

This is by far the weaker of the 2 Grade 1s this week. Evan Hoyt would only be seeded 16 in Berlin, but here is seeded 2

Boys R1 (L64)

(12) Tom Hill (GBR) Bye

Ali Mekouar (MAR) v Alexander Sendegeya (GBR)

(2) Evan Hoyt (GBR) Bye

Girls R1 (L64)

Meredith G Jones (GBR) v Teertha Iska (IND)

Meredith is a 13 year old - straight into a G1. Any info on her?

She's new to me as well. A little research shows that she has been representing the Philippines until recently, and is usually described as a Fil-Am (Filipino American), but occasionally as Filipino British. She was down as USA in her one previous ITF event, so it's anyone's guess how long she has GBR against her name. There's a YouTube clip of her at Pat Cash's Academy in 2008.

Girls R1 (L64)

Teertha Iska (IND) d. Meredith G Jones (GBR) 6-1 6-4
