Seems to be all about 1st serve % early on - when I last looked, both were winning around 90% when they got their 1st serve in, less than 1 in 3 when they didn't and Coppejans was getting more than 60% of his 1st serves in, Kyle less than 50%.
However, Kyle has just had a break back point (saved, unfortunately)

This seems like a really strong cohort. None of the people in the semis (singles or doubles) is a surprise -- OK, some weren't technically seeded, but it didn't take a lot to work out that Monteiro/Quinzi (for example) might just be a decent doubles team. Equally, if the quarters had gone the other way, the people in the semis wouldn't have been a surprise.
Within that context, the kind of consistency shown by GB players over time (eg Broady/Ward-Hibbert in doubles, Edmund in singles) is very encouraging. Especially Mr Edmund, given that his run of QFs+ comes at 16/17.
