Brilliant win for Kyle - not least because Quinzi was on an 8-match winning streak having won the Trofeo Bonfiglio last month.
In the QFs, he plays 6th seed Kimmer Coppejans (BEL), whom he beat twice in Australia in January (including AO juniors), though like Quinzi, Coppejans seems to prefer clay so it could be another hard battle!
I haven't worked out the points, but Quinzi going out early must increase Liam's chances of moving up from no. 3 to no. 2 after RG.

Great stuff by Kyle against an opponent with such a good and seemingly well deserved reputation
Another pretty poor day from Liam and in overall context of how he has been playing generally I am afraid I did not really find it too surprising though I hoped for better
Interesting to see Liam on TV the other day saying he has been doing a lot of physical work lately and he certainly does seem to have broadened out. Don't know to what extent this has had some effect on his results. Whatever, the lad has clearly shown that he has real talent and still at times given such glimpses ( although too few singleswise) in the last year. I'd love to see him getting his results going again towards what he is clearly capable of sooner rather than later.
