Luke had one matchpoint on the Croatian serve, but Coric held. He then went down 15-40, recovered to a second matchpoint but Coric has saved it and broken back

Luke is likely to play top seed Luke Saville next, but the Aussie's lack of clay court experience and tournament preparation could have contributed to him falling a set and a break down to Maxime Hamou. However he appears to have turned it round and leads 4-2 in the decider

Luke does indeed play Saville while Kyle will play Maxime Tchoutakian , who Luke beat narrowly in a recent Grade 2 final

Luke B gets his first break to get a foothold in the match at 0-6 4-3* (looking at the stats he has had as many breakpoints as Aussie Luke, but not taken them)

A topsy-turvy first set saw Liam go a break up only to drop serve twice in a row to trail 3-4*. It was then Liam's turn to break twice in a row to take the set 6-4

Good to see ITV taking an interest in the fate of our juniors, with brief interviews with both Kyle & Luke conducted by Selina Hinchcliffe.

The boys' doubles match-ups:

R1:  (1) Liam Broady & Josh Ward-Hibbert vs Grégoire Barrere & Johan-Sébastien Tatlot (FRA/FRA)

R1:  Bar Tzuf Botzer (ISR) & Kyle Edmund vs Mathias Bourgue & Kimmer Coppejans (FRA/BEL)

R1:  Enzo Py & Maxime Tchoutakian (FRA/FRA) vs (8) Luke Bambridge & Kaichi Uchida (JPN)
