These are both doubles matches  - there is a mistake in the livescore meaning only the first player is showing.

Ah. Still a bit of a scalp though. Tara is playing with Mel, against Anne & Abigail Spears who are the #2 seeds.

Laura is playing with Heather against Monique Adamczak AUS & Erica Sema JPN and they are now 6-3 5-3*

Well somehow I was at Nottingham and I missed their match.  Was waiting for Birnerova's match on Court 2 to finish.  Enquired at reception about  possible court changes or postonements. They knew nothing  !!!!

I did think I saw Laura in the distance at one point with a big  smile on her face. But no sign of Hev or her Mum, who you can't usually miss, so I thought they'd all gone home.

Oh well,  I'm very glad they won anyway biggrin

They probably got moved to one of the practice courts they sometimes use for matches early on in the tournament over on the other side of the centre.

Pliskova, Vandeweghe and Oudin - pretty bloody good qualifiers! Amazing amount of talent in Notts!

why doesn't Laura need a WC any more?

Thanks, I learn someting new every day

She must be ranked high enough to get into the main draw.  I see the 2nd qualifying seed is ranked WR 146 and I'm guessing the 1st qualifying seed ( who Oudin is predicted to take care of  smile  ) isn't that much higher, so Laura probably quite well in.

When I looked at the ITF listings yesterday, Laura was still second on Qualies list, with a WCM.

That's because they don't update with withdrawals after Thursday (I think it's Thursday, anyway)

I've read through this whole thread, and am even more confused as her name has WC against it.

Tara wins on her 3rd match point. Mel also had a mp. The standard of tennis towards the end was alarming. I guess it was due to nerves.

Match points on both sides but Tara finally triumphs 9-7 in the tiebreak.

Next up for Tara is (Q) Krystyna Pliskova (CZE) WR 150 - they met twice in 2010, Tara winning at a 25K in Helsinki but Pliskova winning on grass in the Roehampton junior Final.

My stream has a habit of showing the moments in between the points being played but not the actual tennis. Laura takes first set 7-5, having served for it at 5-4.

The bandwidth required for a stream is proportional to the amount of movement between frames of the picture, which is much higher when they are playing. So when the source is overloaded like this one, it locks up during play and works between play. It was working fine for the previous matches but keeps dieing since Laura/Heather started.
