Monsieur Gasquet is looking in fine fettle. Won't be easy.

Today's change in weather conditions to basically much cooler, heavier and slower conditions would not be good for Andy generally and even more concerning given his back issues.  Bring back the sun and warmth !!

Well, the thing about tennis is that you're as good as your opponent allows you to be. Gasquet has had a very comfortable draw. (yes, I know Haas had a couple of good wins recently, but the guy's been plagued by injury for years and is now 34.) Murray's the better player and should win.

With his showboating and flash, Gasquet looks like a fairweather player to me, so I'd take damp and slow every time if I were Andy.

I wonder which of the posters on this board called that one right? Oh, I remember, it was me!

Well done Ratty. Gasquet's ball striking no match for Andy's bad back. Missed most of the match as I was cutting the grass. Came in to see him striking return winners off decent first serves late in the 4th; very unlike him. Could see Andy winning a long contest but very surprised he took Gasquet apart in the 3rd and 4th sets when the match was so short.

Blowing up a gale, too, it just gets better. Let's hope Gasquet wears contact lenses.
