Easy peasy for Andy: he wins by 3 & 4. Tipsy in the quarter-final (head-to-head 4-3, with Andy beating him most recently in straight sets in the last 16 at Queen's last year).
I didn't think it was so very easy, it looked more like a war of attrition. He never looked like losing but Simon made him work for it. That first game of more than 17 minutes. . . you could almost see the rust dropping off.
Tipsy is worrying. He is dangerous when playing well.
Tipsy has always been a tough opponent for Andy, so not at all surprised by this, didn't think he was at his best against Simon. Added to the fact he doesn't feel great makes it nigh on impossible.
