An atrocious spell from Andy in the middle of that match, I started to worry he was going into a post-AO slump again. He picked it up in the end. Let's hope that is the bad match out of the way and he will play better ALL the time from now on.

The tournament site is saying that Andy overcame illness & a stern test to beat Berrer. I sincerely hope that that means nothing more than a mild stomach bug!

Could really do without prolonged post Australianitis this season, and he did seem to come out of Australia in much better shape this year, even though not making the final, and talking well. So no reason for the extended turmoil of the last 2 two years.
