The final is the 3rd match on Show Court 3 If Liam & Josh win they will be the first all-Britiish winners of a foreign slam title since Lee Childs & James Nelson won the US Open in 2000 (Graeme Dyce partnered a Finn to win the Australian Open in 2007)
Fantastic news! Getting down to business, how many ranking points is this for each player?
They get 180 points, but in ranking terms that gets divided by 4 so it's only worth 45.
In ranking terms, Josh has gained 125 points (80 + 180/4). Taking away his lowest scores from his ranking (30 + 30/4)=37.5. So he has a net gain of 87.5. That should move him from 368.75 to 457.
If that is right he shoud move up to c. 26 in the World Rankings
Liam gains nothing from the singles and 45 from the doubles, minus 7.5. Net gain 37.5 which should keep him where at 3 in the world

Does it have to be Josh & Liam, or just either of them i.e is JWH is playing with a different opponent?
Well Khromocheva won 3 Grade As in doubles last year with 3 different partners and doesn't seem to have benefited from the 180 bonus points. Seems a bit tight if you have to have the same partner at each.
