Thanks mm. Drat it, if I had known it only ended an hour ago, I could have watched some of it!
Well done Andy, the Froggy-bashing streak continues. Keep it up in the next match - and the two following, if Monfils and Tsonga are the ones involved!
Pretty efficient job from Andy although I did think the chance was there to make a really emphatic statement and he could and probably should have got the job done quicker.
ERV did take a bit of time to settle and there was no doubt Andy just looked in a different class in the first set. Such though was ERV's problems that from hitting the ball really strong and cleanly I sensed that Andy fell into reckoning he could just out rally ERV and then in the second set when ERV undoubtably more began to find his touch and very good serve / volleying at times, Andy at times got a little fustrated. Definitely for the second set and much of the third I thought he could have taken the initiative a bit more at times.
Was very rarely troubled on serve, hardly dropping a point during the second set although I had this nagging feeiing with just the one break suddenly ERV might break back from nowhere. Fortunately not.
Good looking serving stats generally, though for much of the match didn't seem to be going for a lot on first serve, maybe sensing first serve accuracy would do the job. Went for it more in the third set with some success in quite a few aces at one pont when ERV briefly looked as if he might get at an Andy serve.
Forehand at times was very good today when he really played through it.
Basiically through without too much fuss, but could of been better.
