Anna looks like our most impressive '97 girl from my quick perusal of ITF results so far (even if not the top ranked)

Anna has come on in leaps and bounds in the last 18 months. Hard to compare with Freya and Lana, who have been friendly rivals for some years and already won or reached low-grade ITF finals, but it is good for them to now have another strong '97 to vie with. She has taken advantage of the favourable QF draw in style, and has the chance to repeat Freya's emphatic win over Cabaj Awad last week

QF

Anna Brogan (GBR) d. Nanette Nylund (FIN) 6-2 6-0

SF

(4) Jacqueline Cabaj Awad (SWE) v Anna Brogan (GBR)

If we want girls to rise to the top we need 5 or more good girls competing every year group on an international level

We seem to have at leat 3 97's on the way

Anna makes her first final, and gets a second crack at last week's winner, having pushed her to a final set tiebreak - the Swede's toughest match this year

SF

Anna Brogan (GBR) d. (4) Jacqueline Cabaj Awad (SWE) 6-1 6-4

F

(3) Cornelia Emily Lister (SWE) v Anna Brogan (GBR)

:(

Not bad against an opponent 3 years older and 650 ranking places higher though.
