The girls haven't had as much success as the boys here. However Jessica Ren won the under 12s in 2006 and Jocelyn Rae was a finalist in 2003. In the under 14s our last finalist was Jo Lewis in 1981. We do have a fairly strong group of under 14s here, though none is seeded.
Jazzi Plews has a tough opener against one of the Serbian squad who won the under 14 World Junior Tennis title. Katie Dyson is through to the last round of qualifying
