Well done Kyle.
Thiem is obviously a player further on in his developement, but will be good to see how Kyle stacks up.

Kyle didn't get on court until 11.40 pm MEX time (the girls' Final having gone on for 3 hours) and has just lost 2 & 4 - https://twitter.com/#!/martindweston/ was tweeting from courtside throughout if you want the full story. He ends with ... "good 2nd set. Really good. Showed real character. Helluva experience. 1am here. Great week. Onto Eddie Herr!"

A very good week for KYle overall and certainly no disgrace to lose to Thiem given that the Austrian is already ATP top 700 despite still playing lots of junior events, has a great  record here and is 16 months older than Kyle.

Very good week for Kyle.  And Thiem is the type of challenge he wants and will learn from.  Maybe he can meet him again before Thiem departs the junior ranks, that would be quite interesting.

enough to enter the top 20, good week kyle, will be very tough, but avoid Thiem, and top 10 before year end will be a great achievment for someone with two years left in junior game

Almost top 20 but not quite - Kyle is up to JWR 21, the 2nd highest-ranked 1995 boy just 10 points behind Nikola Milojevic (SRB), currently the top 1995, who is JWR 20.
