Good day, though our players were the higher ranked in each case. A lot of intriguing matches tomorrow with the first points at stake and hopefully we can pull off one or two seeding upsets.

Some good upsets from the boys today, but it was tempered by the loss of a couple of our boys whom were perhaps favoured to win. In the re-match off the final last week, Hemery came out on top this time in what reads like a titanic tussle (perhaps domara can shed some light on it).

R2
JULIAN CASH (GBR) defeated Alexander MOZGOVOY (RUS) (14) 6-2 6-3
Max DE VROOME (NED) (7) defeated Alexander SENDEGEYA (GBR) 6-4 6-3
Chih-Jen HO (TPE) (3) defeated Joshua SAPWELL (GBR) 6-3 6-0
Peter ASHLEY (GBR) (12) defeated Tomas PAPIK (CZE) 6-2 7-5
David FOX (GBR) defeated Krittin KOAYKUL (THA) (5) 6-4 6-3
ARTUR SHAKHNUBARYAN (RUS) defeated Scott CLAYTON (GBR) (8) 6-4 6-2
Toby MITCHELL (GBR) defeated James Junior STORME (BEL) (9) 7-6(0) 6-3
SAMM BUTLER (GBR) defeated Abdullah SHAIKH (IND) (4) 6-2 7-6(7)
Chi-Shan JAO (TPE) (6) defeated Clay CRAWFORD (GBR) 6-4 6-4
Calvin HEMERY (FRA) defeated Jonny O'MARA (GBR) (16) 7-6(1) 6-7(4) 7-5

Julian plays the French hot shot Couacaud, whilst there is a all Brit encounter between Peter and David.

R3
Enzo COUACAUD (FRA) (1) Vs JULIAN CASH (GBR)
Peter ASHLEY (GBR) (12) Vs David FOX (GBR)
ARTUR SHAKHNUBARYAN (RUS) Vs Toby MITCHELL (GBR)
Omar JASIKA (AUS) Vs SAMM BUTLER (GBR)

Jonny finding as often happens that it is tough to play someone of similar ability twice in a short space of time. Scott's opponent though doesn't have much pedigree, so I guess that he hadn't recovered fully from last week (when he was reportedly sick after playing Josh and had to withdraw from the doubles). Julian continues to impress against much more experienced opposition, while David's win is perhaps the pick given the results of his opponent.

maza 1987-yep will try and give you some more info-david c is pretty well on the button, not much between the two boys-Hemery is an accomplished player who is very strong, much bigger physically than jonny, and really it was probably down to that in the end. He recovered better from last week and in a tough last set he outlasted jonny this time-jonny cramped badly in the final set. its a tough lesson but hopefully he is learning a lot about his game and his body at the moment and about playing in tough conditions. Jonny will be working really hard with Mark and his fitness trainer on this aspect of his game over the next few months.
OK I'M biased but I do beleive he has the skills to do well and that the finishing touch will be, now that he is physically more ready, to start to build his strength/muscles and increase his diet.
