Just needs to win Shanghai, Paris and the WTF at the O2 ( without losing a match ) and Andy will reach 9700 again ( and as Steven suggests this would really be a better 9700 )
Win the Australian Open to crack the 10000
Then clean up the American spring hardcourt Masters that he missed out in earlier this year...
LOL and here was me thinking Stu Fraser's "Only stating the facts here by the way - It isn't outwith the realms of possibility that Murray can finish year as world No.2 ahead of Nadal" was a bit ambitious!
That would 'only' be a run like the one Nole has had in the last 10 months of course. Having said that, the autumn has always been good for Muzz so we shouldn't read too much into it - he just overtook Nole today as the player with the most points since the start of Cincy, which is brilliant, but I seem to remember him being the top scorer between the start of Cincy and the end of a year before.

I'm sure that Andy is already the bookies' favourite by a comfortable margin. He is in a rich vein of form, rich enough to give Rafa only 4 points in a set. David Ferrer beats Andy on clay, but has never beaten him on any other surface. Andy beat Ferrer 2&3 last week. Andy won't be feeling too fatigued, he has only played one match since Sunday, should be in great fettle mentally and physically. He does sometimes throw in a really poor performance, but I just don't think that will be the case this week.
Anyway, we shouldn't count our chickens.
I imagine his match will start in an hour or two, so we;ll soon see.
Roddick style serve and volley from Ebden, and Andy picks him off easily to break for *2-0 and then holds to 15 for 3-0*. Ebden struggled to win points these last 7 games.
