Jordan makes it 20 wins from 21 matches, with his best so far rankings wise. To cap a great day for him he and Joshua beat the second seeded Indian again (+ Indy De Vroome's brother Max) in the doubles to reach the semis

QF

Jordan Angus (GBR) d. (3) Arjun Kadhe (IND) 6-2 6-4

SF

Jordan Angus (GBR) v (2) Kimmer Coppejans (BEL)

The Belgian proved too good for Jordan, but he will have a chance to partially avenge that defeat in his maiden Grade 2 final (doubles)

SF

(2) Kimmer Coppejans (BEL) d. Jordan Angus (GBR) 6-2 6-2

Doubles Final

(1) Coppejans / Vanneste (BEL) v Angus/Page (GBR)

Another jump up tha rankings though.

I was having a look at the junior rankings last night. The boys look very healthy with loads of 1995's and 1996's with decent rankings already

Jordan's jump into the top 150 went a stage further with his highest grade title so far smile

Doubles Final

 Angus/Page (GBR) d. (1) Coppejans / Vanneste (BEL) 6-4 3-6 [11-9]

Jordan thus joins Josh Ward-Hibbert, Sam Hutt and Jonathan Cornish as 1994s in the 100-150 bracket, with Scott Clayton well placed to join them.

The 1995s are strong but the top 1996s haven't made as much progress as our top 1995s did last year, and have been notable by their absence recently

Yes, I had noticed that re the 1996 boys, say in particular Sapwell and Ashley, that their progress had stalled, but more they weren't actually about in ITFs.

I sincerely hope that they aren't spending too much time on their education.  Disgraceful behavior  wink
