GB will play 6th seeds France in the semis. I was bit a confused when I read in the Mail article that they were going to play Tunisia or (defending champions and 4th seeds) Japan but they probably were the two most likely opponents going into the final Group B ties today, until France beat Tunisia (who had previously upset Japan) 3-0. All three teams ended up having won 2 ties and W 1 L 1 against each other, but France won 7 matches to Japan's 6 and Tunisia's 5.
France have only used two players for all their matches so far - world junior no. 107 Alexandre Favrot (Tennis Europe no. 15) and world junior no. 209 (TE 38) Quentin Halys. The third member of their team is listed as world junior no. 487 Johan Sebastien Tatlot. I assume world junior no. 62 (and TE no. 1 - Kyle is no. 2) Enzo Couacaud must be injured.
The Tennis Europe stats show Favrot with a 0-2 H2H v Brits (losses to Jonny O'Mara and Christopher Pearce), while Halys is 1-0 against Chritopher Morris and Joshua Sapwell but 0-1 v Alexander Sendegeya.

Halys won Les Petits As last year and has adjusted more quickly to the ITF circuit than our top 1996 boys. He is also proving a thorn for Evan so far as despite Hoyt breaking back for 5-5 the Frenchman has just taken the first set 7-5
wow great find on the stream davidc, thanks! watching kyle right now. he won the first set 6-1 without having to do much. either this french kid is very nervous, or he's just not very good at tennis. lots of errors. keep it up, GEM Jr.!
