Is anybody watching this. How's he looking? There's not a strong enough signal where I am right now.

I saw it all just before I had to dash out. Andy was looking good, a bit rusty but he had his game face on - he looked as though he wanted to be there, which he doesn't always! A few failed lobs (one good one though), some good rallies and some superb passing shots. A nice little opener.

I see it is Dimitrov next. Should be interesting - Andy often seems to take a while to work out someone he has never met before but he should surely take it in the end.

Thanks Madeline, for filling me in there. Much appreciated. He hasn't really had much very much recovery time since Davis cup, but from what you say he sounds 'good'.

 Doctor, check him out   wink

To be fair, I have noticed this a bit more at times this year, and while he has had the odd clear reversion back to Moody Andy, it is good to see.'

Simon beat Bachinger in 3 sets, and we have for the semis :

(1) Andy Murray (GBR) WR 4  vs  (3) Gilles Simon (FRA) WR 12

Donald Young (USA) WR 55  vs  (2) Gael Monfils (FRA) WR 9

Young vs Monfils on at 1 pm local ( 7 am BST ) to be followed by Murray vs Simon

Well, Simon took only his 2nd set in 18 off Muzz, but Andy recovered to make it 8 wins in a row v Gillou, 8-0 v GEMs this year (including Hopman Cup) and he has now walked off the winner 35 of the last 36 times he has taken to a singles court against Frenchmen

He plays Donald Young in the Final, after Monfils GEMmed it up spectacularly against the American.
